The Cincy Celebration of Champions is (UC) and The Smith Family’s annual signature fund-raising event. This "Celebration of Philanthropy" unites visitors, residents, and charitable organizations to benefit the Greater Cincinnati's non-profit community. Join us as we celebrate the Celebration of Champions.
Cincy Charity Golf-Ball-Drop is a unique fundraiser created and hosted by both organizations to benefit local charitable organizations in a meaningful way. It is highly engaging and participative.
The event happened on Thursday, April 17th at UC’s Marge Schott Stadium.
Numbered raffle chances were sold through our web site www.CincyCelebration.com, through participating organizations (NPO's) or by calling 1-866-321-DROP (3767) Golf balls were numbered and then dropped onto a target from high above. Prizes were awarded based on the winning numbered golf balls being the closest to a targeted area. This cascade of thousands of numbered golf balls toward the target was an exciting event to behold!
The event includes the world’s largest Wiffle Ball drop. UC’s Department 7 has constructed a large Pelican that was flown by a soaring Sikorsky Helicopter. The winning golf ball was awarded with a grand prize along with other prizes awarded.
