Cincy Golf-A-Thon is a 100 hole golf marathon, dinner & live auction:
Thirty-nine golfers, each w/player partner, will tee it up at Pebble Creek Golf Course to raise funds for local charities on Saturday, October 1, 2011.

Much like any fund-raising marathon -- where the participants get their friends, relatives, and associates to sponsor them for each mile they walk, frame they bowl, or book they read -- In The Cincy Golf-A-Thon, the golfers each set a goal to raise a minimum of $25/hole in pledges and commit to play a minimum of 100 holes on a given day.

Cincy Golf-Ball-Drop is a unique fundraiser created and hosted by The Smith Family Foundation to benefit local charitable organizations in a meaningful way.

In this event numbered raffle chances are sold, golf balls are numbered, and then dropped onto a target from high above. Prizes are awarded based on the winning numbered golf balls being the closest to a targeted area.

On Saturday, October 1, 2011, thousands of golf balls will be dropped at Pebble Creek Golf Course, with proceeds from the raffle going to local non profits.

The mission of The Smith Family Foundation is to facilitate philanthropy, and it is committed to do just that with its inaugural signature event, The Celebration of Champions, on October 1 and 2, 2011. With the theme of "Together Together," this landmark "Celebration of Philanthropy" will bring together as many as 40 non-profit organizations.

Did you know that over fifty percent of the 1.8 million charities in America and millions worldwide have budgets of under $2.5 million. In Greater Cincinnati alone there are more than 3,000 non-profits. Out of those, over a third spend as much as sixty percent of their time just keeping their doors open.

The Celebration of Champions is presented for the benefit of The Smith Family Foundation and other participating charitable organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
