In 2001, The Smith Family Foundation will host a minimum of four Golf-a-thon fund raisers for the nonprofit organizations shown below. These exciting golf events will provide much needed funds to help these organizations reach out and make a difference in the lives of our community's children.

How it works
Much like any fund-raising marathon -- where the participants get their friends, relatives, business associates, boss, and employees to sponsor them for each mile they walk, frame they bowl, or book they read -- in a Smith Family Foundation Golf-a-thon, the golfers each set a goal to raise a minimum of $30/hole in pledges and commit to play a minimum of 100 holes on a given day. Impossible, you say? Not so! We'll show you how. You will not only have the satisfaction of making a giant difference in the lives of our community's youth, but you'll have lots of fun doing it!

Because of an incredible system we have put in place, only six to eight hours is required from each golfer over a few weeks to achieve the minimum targeted amount in pledges.

The Golfer's Commitment
Since your success is our success, each participant will be selected based on his/her willingness to make a personal commitment to reach the established pledge goal. To be selected to participate should be considered an honor, because it is an indication that you are someone we believe in, and someone who has a proven track record of fulfilling their commitments.

If you are a caring individual, looking for an opportunity to be a "difference maker" in the lives of our community's youth and willing to spend a few hours over the next three to five months, we'd love to hear from you.
